TORNADO VICTIMS - Donnie Wagner was a member of the Blues in '71, and later became a fixture in "TOC", doing Flight Ops Logs. He and his wife live in Northern Alabama (Ft.Payne area). Their home was a Complete Loss, after the Tornadoes several weeks ago. It left him and his wife sitting on the floor, and everything else was gone.

LAM SOM 719 - One of our Condors Alumni Association Awards Officers, Clyde Romero, is looking for members who flew in LAM SON 719. (He is only aware of Kane who was shot down with Casher.) This search will help determine who got what with regards to awards given out for that campaign. If you have information, please post a comment or contact/email Clyde directly.

VIETNAM COMBAT VETERAN CERTIFICATE - For Condors Alumni Association members who are not familiar with the Vietnam Combat Veteran Certificate passed out during the Nashville, TN reunion in 2005 by Maj Jim Newman and Lee Brooks, you can get your initial copy or a corrected copy. Please contact Lee Brooks and he will furnish the copy. Information he will need from those who wish a copy is as follows:

- HIGHEST RANK HELD WHILE WITH THE CONDORS (or if retired military your rank that you retired at.)
- ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE DATE IN VIETNAM (With the Condors)
- YOUR JOB TITLE(S) WHILE WITH THE CONDORS
- YOUR CONDOR CALL SIGN if you had one

MEMBERS IN ACTION

Recently, a fellow Condor used the troop's name in the form of a unique gift to our fellow veterans. Bob Holcomb, Condor 13 (69/70) is heavily involved in motorcycles. He raced them before and after his Vietnam tour. His kids race them today and they also travel the continent on motorcycles to explore primitive places. Through his travels he came to know a specialty parts vendor in Boise, Idaho named Happy-Trails.com. They make specialty parts for touring the globe on single cylinder motorcycles.

When Bob bought parts this spring, he noticed they were planning to give away a highly modified motorcycle to one of our “brothers” on Veterans Day. He was so moved that he chipped in $ for the cause in the name of the Condors.

- Military Heritage Museum, Punta Gorda, FL -- Ken Smith came across this museum while visiting relatives. He was surprised by its thorough collection. The Veteran staff was extraordinarily helpful, talkative, and willing to swap stories. A video of the museum can be seen at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pOZ1wFFOyLE . There are 2 parts.
