The Condors Alumni Association qualifies as a Section 501 (c) (19) tax exempt Veteran's Organization for US federal income tax (IRS) purposes. Contributions to the Condors Alumni Association are deductible as charitable contributions on the donor's federal income tax return. Accordingly, the Condors Alumni Association will not participate in, or intervene in, any political campaign on behalf of (or in opposition to) any candidate for public office nor will it allow any inurement, as defined by Section 501 (c) (19), to insiders of the Association.
MEMBERSHIP - Condors Alumni Association annual dues of $25 are due by the end of March in order to retain “Regular” Membership. “Regular” Members are allowed to vote on Association business and hold a elected positions. “Associate” Membership is also available to persons interested in belonging to the Association, as long as they abide by association objectives and established rules and regulations created by the Association Membership. Associate Members have no dues assessed and have all the rights and privileges of a regular member except the right to vote on Association business or to hold elected office. Associate membership can be extended to any surviving family member of deceased veterans that served with C Troop 2/17th Cavalry, regardless of the time period when the deceased member served. Associate Membership will be "assumed" when you establish a user account on the Condor Alumni Association website. If you desire "Regular" membership, you may submit a request from the "Home" page of this website.
MISSION STATEMENT
The objective of the Condors Alumni Association is to preserve the memory, history, and honor of those who served with C Troop, 2/17th Cavalry, 101st Airborne Division, before, during, and after the Vietnam War; to maintain and strengthen the camaraderie that distinguished the soldiers that served with the Troop; to provide for the research, dissemination and preservation of information concerning Association members and assist members in locating others with whom they served; to sponsor and coordinate periodic reunions to preserve and promote the "Condor Spirit" and traditions among all veterans that served with C Troop 2/17th Cavalry and those who serve with C Troop now and in the future.
